looking to create a front porch feel within a deteriorated  flat brick area framed by a low yet high-maintenance hedge, the geometrical themes found in the front facade were utilized in designing a circular deck space;  built-in bench and a raised concrete planter (construction by the homeowner) filled with care-free plantings define and surround the neighborly lounging spot
